PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. previously known as PT Semen Gresik (Persero) Tbk. inaugurated in Gresik on August 7, 1957, is a cement state-owned company that has been the pillar of national development from the time of independence to the present. In 1991, the Company listed itself as the first state-owned company to go public on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) with the issuer code “SMGR”.

PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. is a strategic holding company that covers subsidiaries in the field of cement, non-cement and service producers throughout Indonesia. As a State Owned Enterprise (BUMN), the share portion of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Currently, 51.01% belongs to the Government of Indonesia and 48.99% belongs to the public. Dominating the national market share and regional market reach, the Company strives to be the leading provider of building material solutions in the region by providing a variety of complete and high quality products and services.

The development of the business direction and answering the challenges facing the company going forward, on February 11, 2020 the Company changed its logo to SIG. The logo change was made to align with the new brand positioning and reaffirm the new vision, mission and values ​​in order to represent the Company’s growing services or products.
SIG is the new spirit of the company that acts differently and always exceeds the reach (Go Beyond Next), which is here to be a solution to consumer needs and national development. SIG is committed to be a part of the creation of sustainable living, which is socially and environmentally responsible to improve the quality of life in the future, and continues to be the SOE that is the pride of Indonesia.
