Indonesia cement is now SIG
Jakarta, 11 February 2020 – PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (“the Company”) introduced a new logo today, Tuesday (11/2) at the Jakarta Convention Center. The logo change was carried out by Semen Indonesia Managing Director Hendi Prio Santoso together with Semen Indonesia President Commissioner Soekarwo, Deputy Minister of BUMN, Budi Gunadi Sadikin and Expert Staff of the Ministry of PUPR, A. Gani Ghazaly Akman.
The logo change is part of the Company’s transformation to build a sustainable life for future generations. The Company focuses on developing innovations to answer the challenges in the field of building material and provide solutions to all stakeholders.
Indonesian Sermen President Director Hendi Prio Santoso said, Semen Indonesia has now evolved, from a cement company, to a provider of building material solutions. The Company wants to be at the forefront in providing innovative, latest and value-added building material solutions in the Regional arena.
The solutions created not only meet stakeholder expectations, but are a driving force in the growth of the building material industry that takes sustainability into account. “We are able to be a pioneer in the building material industry that empowers stakeholders to create sustainable living in the future,” said Hendi Prio Santoso.
Deputy Minister of BUMN, Budi Gunadi Sadikin said that currently BUMN companies must be careful of changes. Companies must adapt to changes because it can cause many businesses to die, but on the one hand new businesses emerge. Of the several BUMN companies that we have noticed, Semen Indonesia is the best company in dealing with this change. We are proud of Semen Indonesia, in the future we hope that Indonesian cement products will be the main component used in building public housing, grand buildings and monumental buildings in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Communication Department of the Semen Indonesia Company, Sigit Wahono added that the transformation of the GIS business was carried out to address the growing needs of consumers. In addition to developing environmentally friendly ways of operating, GIS is committed to developing ways of building that are able to guarantee sustainability

Sigit Wahono explained, in addition to products, the Company integrated various services related to development needs, such as the need for design (architects) and builders (contractors) in a network platform based on online (Sobat Bangun).
